Sell Your Photos!

Chosen Photo is a service providing quality images to nonprofit and corporate professionals, as well as helping professional or amateur photographers gain exposure and sell their work.

Chosen Photo depends on contributions from stellar photographers who focus on Jewish life, so we welcome submissions. We promise to carefully analyze each submission for possible inclusion, and we will gladly accept any image that meets our criteria of quality, originality and appropriateness.

You may only contribute photos that you have taken yourself or that you have all rights to transmit and license and which do not violate trademark, copyright, privacy or any other rights of any other person. Each accepted image becomes subject to our terms and conditions.

If your image is approved, it will be listed on Chosen Photo for sale to publishers for royalty-free license for commercial or editorial use. You will be notified via e-mail as to the status within two weeks of submission.

Note that Chosen Photo will not charge you a handling or reviewing fee, a listing fee, a membership fee, a keywording fee or any other hidden fee. We handle all maintenance and administrative activities. We welcome you to work with other agencies, but we request worldwide exclusivity on a per image basis.

Chosen Photo offers contributors 50 percent of the gross sale price. That's 50 percent every time your photo sells. No cap. No end. You keep earning money.

Photo Submission Guidelines

Chosen Photos MUST have:

  • The proper dimensions. The dimensions for fitting into our price guide. The bigger the better--you stand to earn more money with larger photos--but minimum of 7x10 inches at a resolution of 72 dpi.
     
  • Signed model/property releases. Copies of model and/or property releases must be sent with your submissions or after a selection has been made. You can download Chosen Photo's model releases (adult and minor) and property release here. When you submit your release, make positively clear what release corresponds to what model or property.

Chosen Photo will NOT accept:

  • Photos with an output of less than 7x10 inches at a resolution of 72 dpi.
     
  • Photos that contain expressions of hate, abuse, offensive images or conduct, obscenity or pornography or any material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable law or regulations.
     
  • Photos that are derivative work based on other copyrighted photos.
     
  • Photos with an embedded copyright notice, watermark, timestamp or other stamping.
     
  • More than one copy of a photo.
     
  • Photos displaying copyrighted logos or trademarks, product names, company names, product brands or trademarked and patented designs.
     
  • Photos of artworks (including publicly displayed), advertisements, posters, or photos of other photos.

Submissions

How to submit images for review to us:

  1. On a CD-ROM/DVD. This is the best way to submit, because we can quickly and easily review them and post accepted photos.
     
  2. By ftp server. This option is only available to photographers already posted on Chosen Photo.
     
  3. By e-mail. Chosen Photo works only with digital images rather than film or prints. This is easier for everyone, since you can keep your originals, and we don't run the risk of losing them.
     
  4. Include any caption information using the File Info option of Photoshop.

  • Name of the sender/photographer
  • Number of pictures sent
  • Return address
  • Brief descriptions
  • IPTC Data (use File Info in Photoshop)
  • Date sent

Return of Material

CDs or electronically delivered images will not be returned unless specified.

Chosen Photo accepts neither claims nor responsibility for loss of unsolicited film, prints, slides, transparencies or other materials.

The photographer also assumes all responsibility for all claims resulting from erroneous and inaccurate information supplied by him/her to us regarding ownership, caption information and model releases for all photos or other materials deposited with us for sale now and in the future.
