Chosen Photo FAQ

How do I search for a photo?

Chosen Photo offers easy ways for you to find just the photo you need for your publication. Browse through the categories with the QUICK JUMP tool to find collections of images grouped by topic, for instance all images dealing with Rosh Hashana. You can also use the KEYWORD SEARCH box at the top right of every page to target words and phrases instead of categories. So, if you want to find a picture of a shofar, you would type the word "Shofar" into the Keyword Search.

How do I view images?

If you see a small thumbnail image you like, click it to see a larger image.

What is the "Lightbox"?

A lightbox is a "folder" for you that lives on our Web site that helps you keep your images organized without the need for jotting notes. It holds all the images you choose and is a powerful tool for storing, managing, and sharing the photos that you like. You can add as many as 30 images at any one time to your lightbox and remove them any time you want. We'll keep them there for you for up to 30 days.

You can e-mail images in the Lightbox to friends and colleagues and also view images there in a slideshow.

Are e-mailed photos of lesser resolution and quality?

No. Photo orders sent via email are the same high resolution and quality as photos sent on CD-ROM. E-mailed photos are sent in JPEG format (about 1 to 1.5 megs in size) and expand to full size when opened - 300 dpi, about 6.5 x 8.5 inches, approx. 15 megs, for our Standard size. Larger sizes available.

Do your photos have model and property releases?

Yes. Everything has a signed model or property release.

How do I pay for my order?

After you receive your photo, we'll invoice you, and you'll pay by check. Foreign orders may be paid in any currency in the equivalent US Dollar amount. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards. Read more by clicking the Ordering Info link above.
